5 Things I learned from watching New Japan's Wrestle Dynasty

As a long time rasslin' fan, I should point out the importance of staying out of the drama loop online.

There was some controversy due to one of the commentators on this show working themselves up into a shoot, brother! I don't have any skin in the game, so all that drama is worthless to me.

I'm geeked over the working relationship between New Japan Pro Wrestling and All Elite Wrestling. It's best to let the people in charge of running their businesses, actually handle their businesses without the having to worry about misguided input from everyone else.

AEW wrestler Matthew Jackson sitting in a wrestling ring, wearing pearl earrings and a pearl necklace, pointing down while saying something.

Anyway, Here's some stuff I picked up on while watching this Event(in no conceivable order, what so ever):

  1. Matthew Jackson is so good at being a heel, this man formed a quick allience with Hiromu Takahashi, and was so convincing that it actually tricked the guy into thinking the obvious Super Kick that happened seconds later wasn't really THAT obvious. He also managed to ALMOST finish the match with his pearls intact. What's up the pearls? Hell if I know. Never been a Bucks SuperFan, but know Generation Me could put up a show.
  2. Ishii Should have won the Ring of Honor World Title from Jericho. Listening to how instrumental is was in building prestige for the NEVER Open Weight belt just cemented that fact. The guy can still go at his age, and it's really fun to watch him square up against everybody, and let loose a throat chop symphony.
  3. Lucha is always welcomed, no matter what style of wrestling dominates the card. Seeing Hechicero and everybody else in that Gauntlet leave the ring to jump El Desperado was one hell of a funny moment. CMLL and New Japan cross pollinating is awesome because it's straight up the type of stuff I used to set up in Fire Pro Returns back in the PS2 days.
  4. Guys, you know what? I think that Kennith O. Megga might be pretty gosh dawn great. Keep that on the down low, because I don't think the world really understands that yet.
  5. A five minture slap off between Tanahashi and Shibata was fun and will obviously set up a full match somewhere else(probably Forbidden Door), and I enjoyed every second of it. Should it have been on the pre-show? I think what was on the pre-show could have been on the main, so I don't really know what the right call was here. The Crowd in attendance got into it, so...eh.😆
