I've developed a nasty habit of searching for information before actually putting any thoughts into figuring it out myself.
This was the unforeseen side effect of using search engines for more than 20 years now. I don't blame Hotbot, Smack Jeeves, or Yahoo. I will most definitely blame Google, seeing as they would like us all to pretend they are now the only game in search town.
Wish they'd go back to maintaining Blogspot, but I guess there's more money in turning the entire first page of every Google search into one big advertisement pit stop.

Back to me not trusting my own brain enough to think anymore: It's weird how I grew up being a creative person, but now I have a YouTube search history full of videos about secrets to being creative.
It's not a secret...Or at least, I never saw it that way. I always assumed the people who didn't' draw, didn't play with clay, or only made guns out of their Lego, just didn't care enough to engage with those activities more. Art is what you make of it. Unless you just wanna replicate someone elses efforts(Shouldn't, but no body is stopping you from making mistakes if you please), you have no standard to live up to.
World Building is just like drawing original characters. I'm gonna have influences...That's unavoidable. It's all up to me when it comes to just how unique my "original" characters are at the end of the day. I don't need a primer on brainstorming ideas. I've watched at least 3 hour long videos tryna tell me shit I already know, like it's profound and hidden wisdom from the gawds of creation or something. 🤣
being an old dog who's probably forgotten some cool tricks here and there, I enjoy the luxury of hindsight a little more than I ever expected to. Being more search oriented than think oriented when at a keyboard has caused me to spin my tires in situations where I should have gotten a speed boost off the starting block
Would I be 100 % successful in an alternate time period? Yeah... why the fuck not? I'm done with being humble for no reason. I've been awesome for a long time, mayne. Looking inward more over the past 20 years would definitely have me batting 1000 right now.

toward the tail end of 2024, I started work on Realm 128. It's supposed to be a website for all the fictional characters and events inspired by my music. Said characters are to be used for my digital art, which includes game dev projects I need to start fleshing out sooner than later.
The site is up right now, but I'm planning a simpler, more direct appoarch to presenting the information. i'm tryna settle on one thing, maybe a timeline that branches off into pages that explain the bars and shows related characters and projects? I dunno... just spit balling as I type this.
Fun fact(to me, not you): This blog is a way to promote my projects, but also doubles as a jumper cable for some of them as well. I like to type up these posts as a quick warm up exercise so the writing process doesn't feel like a giant chore all the time. it's supposed to be quick, but I always wind up going long-form(giggity) because I'm talking about stuff that interest me. I should probably make that a priority when world building... 🤔
The original plan was to write a bunch of short stories. That plan was going to suck because I also wanted to have Gemini flesh out concepts I came up with, and write out the stories for me.
These chat bots had so much hype around them...But as far as creative writing goes, they are dryer than the slice of bread I forgot I had when eating my Beefaroni last night.

So, I'm not gonna use AI to write anything for me. I gotta get out of the "AI is your new girlfriend" rabbit hole on YouTube. Those cats will have you thinking these chat bots can help you win the lottery or something. It's crazy What people will say to make a quick buck...
They have way too much faith in what is essentially the result of having Teddy Ruxbin and a chess super computer rawdog a Speak & Spell.
This is why I'm blaming Google. Bard was a much better name. As an Aquarious, I feel very secure with having a "fuck Gemini" approach to things.
