Vacant Care tracklist and a push for the perfect album length

I was never a fan of long albums. They always wind up having a lot of filler, and you can tell when the artist runs out of ideas and just starts to pad out the remainder of their project.

Of course, that mostly happens when the focus is on a vocal heavy format. That's what Vacant Care is with it's 8 rap songs and 2 instrumentals. It's a pretty basic approach, and It's the overall vision I have of most albums.

If you have a vocalist, most of the songs would be used to display their talents in some way.

Because I'm not always interested in keeping things basic, I have plans for future releases that involve a more atmospheric approach. Albums tell stories. I don't really need to progress a plot by way of vocals, exclusively. Going back and listening to some old school rap albums with a lot of tracks on them, I've come to the conclusion that less really would be more if utilized properly...

This always was just the right length from a creators standpoint. I didn't reach the phase where I just wanted the recording process to end, even if it meant scrapping a couple of tracks so I could move on. I think the only track I did wide up dropping was an extra instrumental track that didn't really have a purpose other than sitting right between One Thing and Heavy.
